Addressing an Escalating Crisis
Mental health is essential to well-being. Taking steps to improve and maintain it is more important than ever today. Mental illness has surged in recent years. The Northwest Kansas region has a high suicide rate while also facing critical shortages in mental health crisis services and staffing. It’s a situation that requires immediate action. The good news is you can help!

Why Support
High Plains Mental Health Center
High Plains Mental Health Center is dedicated to supporting individuals and families in crisis, providing care when it’s needed most. Too often, those facing mental health emergencies end up in ERs or jails—places that aren’t equipped to provide psychiatric care. Our planned Crisis Intervention Center will change that, offering lifesaving, specialized care in a safe, healing space.
As a nonprofit, we rely on community support to make this vision a reality. Every donation helps lay the foundation—funding services, staff, and critical care. Together, we can build hope—one block, one gift, one step at a time. Join us in creating a future where everyone has access to the help they need.
